Oh my goodness you guys, I think I'm really coming back to DA, I mean, I have the MUST WRITE POINTLESS JOURNAL urge again!

Annd I'm going to blab about my comic.
Because quite frankly, it is consuming just about all of the artistic energy I have right now, aside from unrelated art in my art class.

It's called Twelve, because that's the name of the main character in this story, and I really suck at coming up with good titles for art. I'm alright at it with prose because my prose tends to be kinda strangely-worded, so it's okay if my titles are too, IMHO.

Anyway, my story is about a robot trying to find her place in the world. Or something. And a girl who starts fights. And a really geeky guy. And some cats. And some other stuff. For those of you who read Suteneko, it's a really big jump from that comic to this one. I realized when I read back on Suteneko that I basically crammed all the text I could onto the pages, drenched the whole thing with manga stamps I found on the internet, and yeah, it was crappy.

Not to mention that I planned for an epic story, which is never a good thing to do for your first comic. Especially if you lose interest quickly. x_x

So, the Twelve series has four sections (they'll be four different books when I put them on Lulu), Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn. And each volume has around 6 chapters each, and my chapters are around 20 pages each, so they're not like fat tankobons or anything. I was thinking, "I could combine Winter and Spring into one book and Summer and Autumn into another and just have two fat books." But there's no fun in that! This way I get to design four covers =w=

Currently I'm finishing up the Summer draft, and then I'll start on Fall, and then I'll be really working! I just wish I had my own computer to use when I get to scanning and toning...

Anyway, I'm going to upload the whole thing online. I thought it was a given that when an amateur makes a comic, they can't just expect to sell it right away. But people have said "You shouldn't put the entire thing up for free, nobody will buy it." But, I am one of those people who likes to read manga for free online, and I would never purchase an unknown artist's work if I hadn't been able to read a decent amount of the story. It's one thing to like the art, but if the story sucks, you just wasted your money, you know?

But, yeah... I really want to get to the point where making manga is like a side-job at least, because I absolutely love writing stories and drawing, and if that makes me any money, I've got it made. =w=

Gahh, I'm like writing a book. Gomen ne ^_^;
As for why there hasn't been any real uploads for a long time.. I don't want to scan the draft. And the pictures I do have from Twelve are pretty conceptual and nothing I really wanna show you just yet. I've tried to draw some non-draft stuff but my hand seems to be in permanent sketch-mode and it's difficult to break free from it and put a lot of effort into one picture. meh, lol.

OH YEAH! I got manga pens, at last! My smallest tip is POINT TWO FIVE! *happy cat punch* And my boyfriend helped by sneaking back and buying me more under the excuse of a Valentine's Day present but ended up giving them to me early cause he couldn't stand it, lol!
